Originally from Atlanta and now rooted in Dubai, Adrienne is an International Yoga Instructor who builds spaces and a life that’s equal parts soul and strategy. She left the Wall Street grind to craft a new definition of success, one where ambition and alignment can actually coexist. We sat down with her to talk about balance, burnout, and what it really means to hustle like a hippie.
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
What inspired you to embrace both the hustle and the hippie and how do you define this balance?
“I’ve always felt pulled in two directions: the drive to build something meaningful and the deep need to stay connected to my body, my spirit, and the present moment. The hustle comes from my ambition. I care deeply about what I’m creating. But the hippie in me knows that without intention and connection, none of it will feel good. For me, the balance is found in movement, movement that’s not just physical, but emotional and energetic. It’s allowing flow to fuel the hustle, not the other way around.”
Was there a single moment that made you say, “It’s time to redefine success”?
“Yes. I was working in corporate, checking every box and still feeling completely out of alignment. There was one night, after leading a packed class full of energy and soul, when I felt more myself than I had in years. I realised I couldn’t keep splitting my energy. Success wasn’t about the title or the paycheck anymore. It was about creating a life I didn’t need to escape from.”
How has your vision of success changed since leaving the corporate world?
“Success now feels softer, but deeper. It’s not only about the grind, it’s about impact, freedom, and joy. If I’m building something but losing myself in the process, it’s not success. Success is being able to wake up and say, I love the way I’m living.”

PRACTICES THAT GROUND THE HUSTLE
What does a day in the life of a Hippie Who Hustles look like?
“Honestly, it oftentimes lacks structure, but it’s intuitive. Mornings start with movement, even just five minutes to connect to my breath and body. My day is split between leading classes, mentoring, building HWH’s vision globally, and carving out creative space. Evenings are for reflection, music, and grounding. I’ve recently learned to protect my peace like it’s a business asset, because it is.”
How do you carve out space for both ambition and inner peace?
“It’s been a challenge, but it’s now built in, non-negotiable. My mornings start with white space where nothing happens, and I stay mindful of how I show up in meetings, on the mat, in creation. I’ve learned that burnout is a boundary issue, not just a schedule issue. Inner peace is part of the plan, not a luxury.”
What’s one practice that keeps you grounded when the hustle gets intense?
“Music and breath. I’ll pause everything, put on a playlist that speaks to how I’m feeling, and just move or be still with it. It reconnects me to the why when the what feels overwhelming.”

ADVICE FOR DREAMERS & DOERS
What advice would you give to someone feeling torn between ambition and well-being?
“As cliché as it may sound, start with your why. Ambition is beautiful, but it has to be rooted in something deeper than approval or proving. Build your life from alignment, not urgency. You don’t have to burn out to build something real.”
How can we start building a career that honours both our dreams and our health?
“Treat your well-being like it’s part of your business plan. Schedule rest, play, and reflection with the same weight you’d give to meetings or strategy. Your energy is your most valuable resource. Protect it like your success depends on it, because it does. Trust me.”
In your own journey, what’s been your greatest challenge, and your greatest reward?
“The greatest challenge has been trusting myself enough to take the leap, again and again. Building something that doesn’t fit into a traditional mould can feel lonely. But the greatest reward is seeing people walk into HWH and feel seen, powerful, and free. That makes every risk worth it.”

For Adrienne Everett, success is no longer just the hustle. It’s flow, freedom, and the energy to love the way you’re living.
