With laptops replacing offices and flat whites fuelling productivity, cafés have evolved from casual catch-up spots into essential work hubs. Nowhere is this truer than in Dubai, where remote work culture is thriving and the coffee scene is as diverse as the city itself.
As a software developer, content creator, and now café founder of Homebrew Coffee, I’ve spent years working from both popular and tucked-away spots. This edit highlights five of my favourites in Al Quoz and Umm Suqeim 1, two creative, community-driven areas where the Wi-Fi is fast, the matcha is strong, and solo laptop days don’t come with side-eyes.
From calm, plant-filled hideaways to buzzing industrial hubs, these cafés all tick my personal checklist: good vibes, plenty of sockets, and great coffee.
