We arrived at RXV Wellness Village in Thailand running on empty, unsure exactly what we needed, only certain that something had to shift. What we found wasn’t an instant transformation, but a gradual unravelling of tension. These seven treatments didn’t just ease us into relaxation. They revealed what it means to feel grounded and fully present in our bodies again. Whether you’ve already read our full RXV review or are discovering the wellness village for the first time, this edit distils the experiences that made a lasting impression. The ones we continue to weave into our daily routines long after the trip ended.

Pranayama on the River Deck

Alexandra & Morgan

We had a private morning breath session on the open-air deck, just us, our guide, and the gentle sound of the river around us. No music. No mirrors. Just presence.

We learnt pranayama: the ancient practice of controlling the breath to shift your energy, focus, and nervous system state. Each technique had a purpose and a quiet power.

Since then, we’ve used it daily. A calming exhale in traffic. A grounding breath before sleep. A reminder that healing doesn’t have to be loud. It can be as simple as breath

Hydrotherapy Circuit

Alexandra & Morgan

The Bor-Naam hydrotherapy area became one of our favourite places to reset. With floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking a quiet pond and lush greenery, the space itself felt deeply calming. The contrast circuit moved us through ice plunges, warm pools, and an infrared sauna, creating a rhythm that felt meditative rather than intense.

Each circuit was designed with a purpose, offering different flows to support immunity, circulation, sleep, or stress relief. We loved that we could choose what our bodies needed that day. There was no pressure to perform or push through, just the invitation to slow down, be present, and feel ourselves come back online.

Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture

Alexandra

My consultation with RXV’s Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor was gentle, intuitive, and deeply considered. She took her time, reading my energy through pulse, tongue, and breath. It felt like she understood more than what I said out loud.

She explained how subtle imbalances were connected to patterns I had overlooked for years. The acupuncture that followed wasn’t dramatic, but something shifted. I left feeling both grounded and open, like my system had been quietly realigned.

Crystal Mandala Session

Alexandra & Morgan

This was our final treatment at RXV and the perfect way to close the trip. The practitioner introduced the concept of the mandala and the meanings behind different crystals and colours, then left us to create our own. We quietly choose what we felt drawn to, letting our hands guide the placement.

Once finished, the practitioner returned and read our mandalas back to us, gently interpreting how each element connected to different chakras and emotional patterns. It wasn’t just beautiful, it was revealing. The reflections surfaced feelings we hadn’t realised we were carrying.

Spinal Health & Functional Strength Evaluation

Morgan

After years of vague aches and misalignment, this was the first time everything truly made sense. RXV’s full-body evaluation looked at posture, movement, and core strength, showing me how my physical pain was connected to deeper structural imbalances.

Working with a physiotherapist, Ice, I received a tailored plan built around my unique patterns and needs. It wasn’t about pushing harder. It was about moving smarter. This was physical healing delivered with clarity and care.

Aromatic Thai Herbal Steam

Alexandra & Morgan

This session blended breathwork with traditional herbal therapy in a way that felt both ritualistic and restorative. We sat quietly as a mix of Thai herbs, ginger, lemongrass, kaffir lime, turmeric, and glangglang was placed into a terracotta bowl.

Boiling water was poured over, releasing fragrant steam, and a sheet was gently draped over our heads to create a cocoon. We inhaled the herbal steam while being guided through five minutes of slow, focused breathwork.

Afterwards, the sheet was lifted and we sipped warm ginger and honey tea before repeating the ritual two more times. The entire experience was about clearing and cleansing physically, emotionally, and energetically. It helped relieve pressure in our sinuses, supported detoxification, and left us with open airways, clearer minds, and a deep, surprising sense of calm from such a simple, ancient practice.

Good Night Sleep Massage with Crystal Bowls

Alexandra & Morgan

This session was designed to prepare the body and mind for deep rest. It began with a slow, rhythmic Ayurvedic massage using calming oils to release tension and quiet the nervous system.

Afterwards, we lay side by side in the same room for 30 minutes of crystal alchemy bowl sound therapy. Being that close to the bowls, we could feel the vibrations move through the space and settle into the body. The experience was quiet and deeply sensory less about sound, more about sensation.

We left feeling completely calm, with everything slowed down in the best way. That night, we both slept better than we had in weeks. It was the kind of rest that feels like a full reset.

The best retreats leave you with more than memories. They give you something to bring home. Try something new, stay open, and you might just find a ritual that becomes part of your everyday life.
