Vegan dining has had a rebrand, and Dubai got the memo! What was once an afterthought on most menus is now a space for creativity, community, and conscious eating. Whether you’re plant-based, gluten-free, or just trying to eat in a way that feels better for you and the planet, these six spots prove vegan food can be chic, satisfying, and scrummy. From barefoot garden cafés to wellness sanctuaries and Michelin-starred tasting menus, here are the places raising the bar for flavourful, feel-good dining.
TAAMA

TAAMA
Located inside Sohum Wellness Sanctuary in Al Quoz, TAAMA is a dreamy restaurant built around holistic wellbeing. Founded by yoga instructor and Reiki healer Tanya Mansotra, it’s a space that feels calm and conscious from the moment you walk in. The plant-based menu is vibrant and nourishing, think chakra bowls piled with seasonal veg and superfoods, oyster mushroom maki rolls, and sourdough truffle pizza, all made with local, sustainably sourced ingredients. There’s a serene outdoor terrace with water features and Buddha statues, a sophisticated mocktail bar, and a peaceful energy that makes it ideal for working, unwinding, or heading upstairs for a yoga session or Ayurvedic massage.

SEVA Table

SEVA Table
Tucked behind pink bougainvillaea in the heart of Jumeirah, this 100% plant-based, female-owned haven feels like you’ve stepped out of Dubai and into a secret, magical garden, where you kick off your shoes and sit barefoot on the grass under the trees, mango lassi in hand (my go-to). The menu is gluten- and cane sugar-free, packed with clever ingredients from hummus with ashwagandha to no-tuna toast with maca, and a matcha tiramisu spiked with green probiotics. Inside, there’s a cosy café with a library, a concept shop selling everything from crystals to clean beauty, and a yoga studio running meditation and sound healing sessions.

Located in Dubai Hills Business Park, the homegrown spot serves a 16-course tasting menu with no garlic or onion, but plenty of flavour, attention to detail, and most memorable service. Even the most humble vegetables, broccoli, okra, banana, and jackfruit, are turned into something unexpectedly special, and finished with edible flowers (over 30 varieties, all grown locally). Teible

Teible
Set inside the Jameel Arts Centre, Michelin Green Star-awarded Teible takes a values-first approach to food, rooted in seasonality, simplicity and sustainability. Around 90% of ingredients are locally sourced and seasonal, often spotlighting vegetables, fermentation and zero-waste techniques. While not strictly vegan, the menu leans plant-based with standout dishes like fermented hummus cannelloni, pumpkin (grown in Sharjah) ravioli and sweet potato (from Lebanon) tempura with pomegranate teriyaki – all served in a minimalist dining space with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Jaddaf Waterfront. The in-house plant-based bakery, developed in collaboration with Universal Bakes from Tokyo, is another highlight. Think bread, pastries, sandwiches, and even matcha churros.
